Appointment Availability
Overview
This dashboard provides a thorough overview of appointment availability across provider, facility, regional, and state levels. Key metrics include the 1st through 4th Next Available Appointment (NAA) and Appointment Availability for the upcoming four weeks, offering clear insights into scheduling capacity.
Models/Definitions
Next Available Appointment (NAA): We have developed a dashboard and underlying data model that emulates the First, Second, Third and Fourth Next Available Appointment (NAA). The NAA serves as a proxy for true provider availability and access to care.
Four Next Weeks Availability: the model looks four weeks out and displays slots and percentage appointment availability for each week in three categories: low, medium, and high. This categorization is based on the percentage of available provider timeslots compared to their total timeslots for each provider, with color coding for easy visualization: Red for Low (<25%), Yellow for Medium (25-50%), and Green for High (>50%).
Key control tables the manage aggregation groupings and classifications within the data flow and are managed by your data team:
