Unassigned Patients

Overview

This dashboard offers a detailed overview of patients who remained unassigned to a Primary Care Physician (PCP) during the most recent Attribution processing cycle. These individuals qualified for a Panel but were not linked to a PCP. Users can explore how these unassigned patients are distributed across geographic, demographic, and payer-related characteristics. Additionally, users can review and, if needed, export a list of these unassigned patients for further analysis.

Metric Definitions

  • Qualified Patients - Patients who meet the criteria for at least one of the Included Cohorts in the Panel Configuration, while not meeting the criteria for any of the Excluded Cohorts within the same configuration.

  • Unassigned Patients - Patients who qualify for inclusion but could not be assigned to a Primary Care Physician (PCP).

    • Several factors may be at play here, but the most common examples include:

      • Patients who do not have an address (BlueCard)

      • Patients who live more than 50 miles from a primary care facility

      • Patients who live out of state

  • Payer-Assigned Facility/PCP - Although the Attribution process couldn’t assign a Primary Care Physician (PCP), the Payer designated both a Facility and a PCP when submitting the roster data. This information is captured in the patient export table for reference.
